IBM Associate Partner - Finance Transformation in San Francisco, California
Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Associate Partner to join our Finance Transformation practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise across core finance processes—Record to Report (R2R), Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Tax, and Treasury—and have a strong point of view on how emerging technologies, including agentic AI, will shape the future of finance.
This role requires a strategic leader who can engage with senior client stakeholders, design and deliver measurable business outcomes, and lead diverse teams to drive end-to-end transformation initiatives.
Your role and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Lead finance transformation programs from strategy through execution, ensuring delivery of measurable value and sustainable outcomes.
Advise clients on optimizing finance operations across R2R, P2P, O2C, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury processes.
Develop and articulate a forward-looking perspective on the future of finance, integrating digital, automation, and AI-driven solutions.
Shape and deploy agentic AI solutions that enhance decision-making, forecasting, and operational efficiency in finance.
Build trusted relationships with C-suite and senior finance executives, acting as a thought partner in their transformation journey.
Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities, crafting proposals, and supporting go-to-market initiatives.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across technology, analytics, and change management to deliver holistic transformation programs.
Hybrid: Your work location of City, State was assigned based on business need and currently your role designated as a hybrid role. Hybrid roles are expected to perform their primary duties from a combination of IBM location, client sites or work at home. The required number of days to be in the office is to be determined by your management team. Any changes to this work arrangement must be preapproved by your manager before any changes are made. This Job can be performed from anywhere in the US.
Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.
Required technical and professional expertise
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in consulting, with a focus on finance transformation or related domains.
Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes—R2R, P2P, O2C, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury.
Proven track record of leading teams and delivering measurable outcomes for clients.
Demonstrated experience interacting with senior client stakeholders and managing complex engagements.
Familiarity with or hands-on experience implementing agentic AI and digital finance solutions.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to articulate a clear and compelling vision for the future of finance.
