Geo-Logic Associates, Inc Senior Geologist in San Diego, California

Geo-Logic Associates (GLA) is a privately-held, multidisciplinary, geologic, geotechnical, hydrogeologic, civil, and environmental consulting firm. Our highly experienced professionals manage projects through 30 US office locations and an office in Peru. GLA is currently seeking an experienced full-time Senior Geologist or Hydrogeologist to support projects at residential, commercial, industrial, solid waste, and mine sites, including facility siting, expansion design, remediation, or closure. Projects typically also include significant regulatory compliance components.

Office Location: Southern California - San Diego

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Geology or a related field
  • California PG license
  • At least 10 years of previous work experience in developing, implementing, leading, and supervising field investigations that include geologic mapping, test pit/trench logging, borehole logging, surface and subsurface geophysical logging, data evaluation and interpretation.
  • Working familiarity with Title 27 of the California Code of Regulations and Title 40 Part 258 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Expertise in site investigation, groundwater chemistry evaluation, environmental remediation, and related work.
  • Expertise in evaluating field and laboratory test data and preparing comprehensive site investigation reports.
  • Strong project management, client management, proposal writing, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work well individually and in groups/teams.
  • Experience working with one or more of the California Regional Water Quality Control Boards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Geology
  • CEG and/or CHG certification
  • Existing established client relationships a plus
  • Familiarity with federal, state and local environmental regulations for waste disposal and mining sites
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certified
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Candidate Must

  • Be eligible to work in the United States
  • Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening

Pay Range: $125,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience.
