Saint-Gobain SAP Analyst & Sr. Cost Accountant in SAN DIEGO, California
The Role
The SAP Functional Analyst will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimizing the SAP R/3 Enterprise system across Saint-Gobain Performance Film Solutions global operations. This role involves providing technical support, user training, and process improvement initiatives to ensure efficient use of SAP systems. Additionally, the position includes responsibilities as a Senior Cost Accountant, contributing to financial operations and reporting.

Responsibilities:
Serving as a core member of the SAP implementation team
Configuring and supporting multiple SAP R/3 functional modules
Translating business requirements into standardized, cost‑effective SAP solutions aligned with corporate objectives
Support system deployment, user training, and change management, including developing training materials, conducting workshops, and guiding users through transitions from legacy systems
Acts as the primary point of contact for SAP functional support, troubleshooting system issues, monitoring help-desk tickets, recommending process improvements, and supporting business continuity during system downtime
Collaborates cross‑functionally and serves as a liaison between Saint‑Gobain Performance Film Solutions (Belgium) and local teams on SAP initiatives
Supports senior cost accounting activities by assisting with month‑end close processes, uploading financial data into Blackline, troubleshooting financial systems, facilitating fixed asset inventories, ensuring EQMS compliance, responding to ad hoc financial requests, reporting system bugs, recommending enhancements, and supporting project roll-outs including data conversion, training, and go‑live activities.-
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field
Demonstrated experience using SAP systems
Demonstrated understanding of IT technologies and proficiency in Microsoft products
5+ years of experience in cost accounting and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with cross‑functional team

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position, which is $81,000 to $126,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $89,100 - $139,150. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.
