Noblis Project Management Analyst, DDG 1000 in San Diego, California
Responsibilities
**This is for a potential upcoming opportunity.
The Project Management Analyst will provide analytical and program management support to PMS 339 in execution of DDG 1000 (Zumwalt Class) Surface Training Systems initiatives.
The candidate will support lifecycle planning, cost/schedule tracking, training system modernization, and executive reporting to ensure Sailors receive modern, mission-ready training capability aligned with Fleet requirements. You support decision-making that directly impacts Zumwalt-class readiness.
ROLE IN THE ORGANIZATION
Reports to a Program / Project Manager
Supports DDG 1000 training system initiatives
Interfaces with PMS 339 staff, training activities, and technical stakeholders
Provides analytical and documentation support across planning, execution, and sustainment efforts
This is an analytical and coordination role — focused on program tracking and execution support.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
PROGRAM ANALYSIS & TRACKING
Support DDG 1000 training program execution tracking
Monitor cost, schedule, and performance metrics
Maintain program dashboards and status reports
Assist in identifying risks and tracking mitigation strategies
Support milestone preparation and execution
TRAINING SYSTEMS SUPPORT
Assist in tracking development and modernization of: Trainers; Simulation systems; Classroom and lab upgrades
Coordinate documentation updates supporting lifecycle sustainment
Support Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) alignment initiatives
Track configuration and technical documentation updates
DATA MANAGEMENT & REPORTING
Prepare and update: Briefings; Spreadsheets; Program summaries; Database entries
Ensure compatibility with NAVSEA-approved document management platforms
Maintain organized electronic program files
Assist with preparation of CDRL documentation (as applicable)
STAKEHOLDER COORDINATION
Support coordination between: PMS 339; Shipbuilders; Training Centers; Fleet representatives
Prepare meeting materials and record action items
Track tasking and follow-ups from IPTs and working groups
ADMINISTRATIVE PROGRAM SUPPORT
Assist in preparing executive-level brief materials
Support meeting coordination and record of meetings
Maintain access tracking for contractor personnel (if required)
Support travel documentation and reporting
WHO SHOULD APPLY
This role is ideal for transitioning Navy professionals or junior-to-mid-level program analysts who have supported shipboard systems, training programs, or acquisition initiatives. If you have supported shipboard systems, tracked modernization efforts, or assisted in program office operations — you are strongly aligned with this role.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree OR 5+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree
3–7 years professional experience (program, acquisition, or analytical support)
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Familiarity with Navy Training Systems or acquisition support
Must be a US citizen
Desired Qualifications
Experience supporting DDG 1000 or Surface Combatant programs
Navy Training Systems lifecycle experience
Exposure to acquisition or PPBE processes
Experience preparing executive-level briefings
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
Valuable Experience
Tracking maintenance or modernization packages
Supporting technical system upgrades
Preparing briefs for DH or CO review
Managing spreadsheets and tracking logs
Supporting shipyard or availability planning
Participating in IPTs or working groups
Helpful Certifications (Not Required)
DAWIA Level I (Acquisition)
PMP (or working toward)
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Master Training Specialist (9501)

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
