Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently looking to hire a Lab Technician for their client in San Diego ,CA location .
Lab Technician – Animal Health Diagnostics
Job Type - Contract (6months)
Pay -28/HR
Shift hours - 4.30pm to 1am (M-F)
Summary
The Lab Technician performs routine laboratory testing to support the diagnosis and treatment of animal health conditions. This role works closely with veterinarians and laboratory staff to ensure accurate diagnostic results while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare biological specimens for testing in areas such as hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, parasitology, and cytology.
Operate laboratory equipment including automated analyzers, microscopes, and centrifuges.
Perform laboratory tests, review results, and follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on laboratory equipment.
Maintain accurate records, quality control logs, and laboratory documentation.
Handle and store specimens and dispose of biohazardous materials according to safety guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
1–2 years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory.
Experience with laboratory equipment and basic testing procedures preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
Pay Details: $28.00 per hour
