Job Title: Engineering Technician II

Job Description

The Engineering Technician II will support Operations and Global Manufacturing by executing hands-on laboratory testing and experiments in a shared lab environment. This role focuses on following defined test methods, collecting and organizing experimental data, and communicating results to the Process Engineering team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to follow instructions precisely, and comfortable working onsite in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized shared laboratory workspace in accordance with established test methods and work instructions.

  • Operate designated lab equipment after appropriate training.

  • Collect, organize, and summarize experimental data.

  • Prepare datasets and review findings with the Process Engineering team.

  • Communicate test results, methods, and observations clearly to stakeholders.

  • Use standard computer systems to save, process, and share data.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or quality-regulated environment.

  • Ability to read documentation and follow detailed instructions.

  • Proven hands-on laboratory or technical work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with testing, data collection, and medical devices.

Work Environment

The position is based in a shared laboratory environment with no open office seating, fostering collaboration with a team composed of junior, mid-level, and senior members. Interactions will be cross-functional, involving Operations, Test Lab, and R&D teams. The work location is onsite in, San Diego, CA, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, working 40 hours a week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a 1-hour break. Overtime and travel are not required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
