Actalent Construction Quality Control Manager-Vertical Building (Military Projects) in San Diego, California

Responsibilities Serve as the lead Quality Control Manager for a $30M+ ground-up vertical military construction project. Develop, implement, and manage the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) in accordance with USACE/NAVFAC requirements. Perform and document the Three Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up). Oversee all inspections, testing, material compliance, and documentation. Manage submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, testing logs, and as-built documentation. Ensure strict adherence to contract specifications, UFC criteria, and federal quality standards. Coordinate directly with Government representatives, including FEAD personnel. Lead quality meetings and enforce compliance across all subcontractors and trades. Support compliance with EM 385-1-1 and project safety standards. Manage project closeout documentation and turnover requirements. This role requires direct, relevant experience on ground-up vertical construction projects valued at $30 million and above. Candidates must have worked on complex federal building projects similar in size, scope, and compliance requirements. Our military vertical portfolio includes: Aircraft Hangars Barracks Gymnasiums Headquarters Buildings SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) Secure Buildings Experience working with USACE and/or NAVFAC is highly preferred. Candidates must understand federal construction quality management requirements, inspection protocols, and documentation standards. This position is subject to strict military contractual qualifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a similar field. Direct NAVFAC project experience. Working knowledge of Procore or similar document control systems. Experience operating in secure or mission-critical environments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $132000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
