We are looking for you to join our team for an Associate Project Management role based out of San Diego, CA.

Teleworking is not available as an option for this position.

What You’ll get to do:

Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects in support of our San Diego Field Engineering programs.

Work as an independent thinker in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, and collaborative team-based environment.

Manage complex project tasks successfully, leading to effective project execution.

Perform Control Account Management (CAM) duties by learning to track budget actuals against predictions and financial performance against the baseline.

Participate in CAM status calls, prepare status for/attend weekly status meetings, and support stakeholder meetings relating to forecasting and spend plans for statements of work.

Review labor resources and cost actuals on a weekly basis, act on any discrepancies and drive actions to closure.

Review and manage associated risks and opportunities with assigned control accounts.

Update SharePoint files, create/maintain process documentation, and drive continuous improvement.

Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating respect, support, and constructive communication in a collaborative environment.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and 6 months+ related experience or Associates degree and 2 years related experience; may also consider an additional 4 years related experience in lieu of a degree.

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems.

Experience with Microsoft Office tool suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

US Citizenship and current/active DoD Secret clearance are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with accounting and/or Cost Account Management.

Experience with SharePoint.

Experience with managing multiple projects and quickly adapting to rapid changes.

Experience working solo: self-prioritizing and tasking, consistent cadence.

Primary Level Salary Range: $63,000.00 - $94,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
