EXOS Performance Manager in San Bruno, California
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Performance Manager to lead and oversee high-performance, community-driven fitness experiences for our global client. You will manage facility operations, lead a team of coaches, and develop fitness programs that support participant well-being both in-person and digitally. As a strategic leader, you’ll drive community engagement, ensure service excellence, and build strong relationships with both the client and the Exos team. Responsibilities :
Set the standard for building a connected, thriving fitness community by focusing on human connection beyond physical fitness. You will design, lead, and promote community experiences that resonate with participants and positively impact the local culture.
Own program strategy and development by using Exos methodology you will develop and implement comprehensive fitness and wellness programs tailored to diverse populations with varied abilities and goals. Ensure all programs emphasize quality movement, safety, and long-term engagement.
Oversee the overall performance and operations of the facility, ensuring a clean, safe, and positive environment that meets both the client’s and Exos’ high standards.
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of coaches, ensuring program consistency and excellence across all service offerings. Provide ongoing support, feedback, and leadership to foster professional growth.
Act as a key liaison between Exos, the client, and local communities. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to align service delivery with client goals and drive impactful community initiatives.
As a brand ambassador, embody the core values of Exos—humility, resilience, and accountability. Represent Exos at meetings, events, and on digital platforms, promoting the company’s mission to upgrade lives and engage in a high-performance lifestyle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of strength coaching or personal training experience.
Current industry certification (NSCA-CSCS or NASM preferred).
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
Strong familiarity with EXOS methodology, products, and solutions.
Excellent presentation skills adaptable to both small and large group settings.
High energy and genuine passion for helping clients achieve their goals.
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction as a top priority.
Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $50,000 - $90,000/year. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs. Exos offers a comprehensive benefits package for all full time employees (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), which includes health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off. Additionally, Exos offers a variety of part time benefits (subject to eligibility requirements).
