Belay Technologies Senior Application Developer in San Antonio, Texas

Belay Technologies is seeking a Senior Application Developer to join our intel team. You will act as an application developer and subject matter expert for up-and-coming projects where you will design, develop and integrate the techniques and capabilities for mission-critical operations. These capabilities will be used on hand-held and networked devices. You will be working closely with analysts, operators, engineers and other subject matter experts to determine secure and efficient approaches to the customer's most pressing needs. as part of the innovation team, you'll work on prototyping new approaches for application operation and help bolster existing capabilities. This position supports an Agile team, that works quickly to meet the needs of the mission.
Responsibilities:
Research and develop proof-of-concept techniques for application communications and operations
Develop and maintain in-house embedded applications and relevant data transfer code
Reverse engineer embedded devices and networking protocols
Elicit impact-driven requirements for tool development
Use AI/LLMs to efficiently and safely accelerate development cycles
Candidates are required to have the following qualifications:
TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
12 yrs., B.S. or 10 yrs. w/ M.S.
4 yrs. of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
Skill Requirements:
Technical leadership experience in development teams
Network stack and programming experience
Expertise working with Linux/Unix environments
Production grade software development experience in C/C++, Python or Rust
Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence)
Nice to Haves:
Rust proficiency
Mitmproxy experience
Ghidra/radare2 experience
Mobile development experience

Salary Range: $190,000 to $240,000
