Product Owner & Program Manager – AML Technology (W2 Contract | Remote)
We’re partnering with a large, well-established financial services organization to support a major AML technology initiative tied to the onboarding of a new investment services platform. This effort is expanding existing Agile teams and driving enhancements and integrations across core AML systems.
This is a W2 contract opportunity with strong potential for extension and/or conversion.
Remote is supported, with preference for candidates located near San Antonio or Plano, TX.

These roles are hands-on and highly technical, embedded within Scrum teams supporting AML platforms and integrations.
What You’ll Do
Join and augment existing Agile/Scrum teams
Decompose epics into well-defined features and user stories
Lead feature refinement and backlog grooming sessions
Produce detailed software documentation, including:
Source-to-target mappings
Data movement and transformation logic
Integration requirements
Partner with QA and business teams on:
Test case development
UAT, PVT, and production readiness
Business validation activities
Support enhancements to AML workflows and systems
Participate in occasional after-hours support (1–2 times per month)
Required Experience
5+ years as a Development Product Owner or similar role
Strong Scrum / Agile team experience
3–5 years of Jira experience (feature/story creation, backlog management)
Proven ability to document detailed software requirements
Experience with test planning and execution
Comfort working in regulated, enterprise environments
Nice to Have
Financial services or banking experience
AML / Sanctions domain knowledge
Experience with transaction monitoring or screening platforms
Prior implementation experience with AML software products
Understanding of APIs, integrations, and data pipelines
Scrum, Product Owner, or Agile certifications
Ideal Skill Focus
Jira (feature & story development, backlog ownership)
Detailed technical specifications (data movement & integrations)
Scrum team collaboration through UAT and production release

This role focuses on delivery execution, cross-team coordination, and executive-level visibility for AML technology initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Build and manage integrated project and delivery plans
Coordinate across business, technology, and vendor teams
Track dependencies, risks, milestones, and ownership
Drive execution of AML technology enhancements
Maintain job aids, documentation, and stakeholder communications
Provide clear, executive-ready status reporting
Support business validation and production release activities
Occasional evening hours may be required during production validation windows
Required Experience
5+ years of Program or Project Management experience
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working in financial services
Background in regulated or compliance-driven environments
Experience supporting both Agile and Waterfall delivery models
Familiarity working with Scrum teams and Jira
AML Platform & Domain Exposure
Candidates may work with platforms and capabilities such as:
Transaction monitoring & alerting
Screening systems (Sanctions, PEP, adverse/negative news, 314(a))
SAR-related enhancements
Detection analytics updates
Data integrations (API-based push/pull)
Platforms may include: Actimize (SAM, CDD, ActOne), Bridger Insight XG, and custom API integrations.
Note: This work does not include Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $100.00/hr.
