Insight Global Lead Enterprise Architect in San Antonio, Texas
Job Description
The client is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to drive digital workplace transformation within a large-scale, Azure-based environment. This role carries significant influence, requiring the ability to communicate complex architectural decisions, risks, and strategies to senior leadership through compelling visuals, narratives, and frameworks that teams can adopt and reuse. The ideal candidate will bring deep, hands-on expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem — particularly around identity, endpoint management, and AI-enabled solutions — paired with exceptional verbal and written communication skills to bridge the gap between technical architecture and executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement enterprise architecture strategies aligned with the organization's digital workplace transformation goals
• Lead architectural governance efforts, including risk assessment and decision-making frameworks presented to senior leadership
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, visuals, and narratives that can be reused across leadership teams and business units
• Drive the adoption and integration of AI-enabled solutions within the digital workplace environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to align endpoint management, identity, and collaboration tool strategies with enterprise architecture standards
• Evaluate and govern the use of Microsoft ecosystem technologies including Entra ID, Intune, Teams, and conditional access policies
• Establish and enforce architecture frameworks and governance practices, including TOGAF-aligned methodologies
Influence senior stakeholders on architectural risk, emerging technology investments, and long-term digital transformation roadmaps

Skills and Requirements
• 8+ years of overall IT experience with progressive responsibility in enterprise-level environments
• 5+ years of hands-on architecture experience, including solution design and governance
• 2+ years of experience with digital workplace strategy and AI-enabled solutions
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft ecosystem tools including Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Teams, and conditional access policies
• 1–2+ years of experience with identity management and endpoint management within a large enterprise environment
• Working knowledge of architecture frameworks and governance methodologies, with TOGAF certification or equivalent experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience Industrial controls and manufacturing/OT background (will partner heavily with OT side)
