The Mission
Leidos is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a Lead Cyber Software Test Engineer to work in our San Antonio, TX office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Integrated Defensive Cyber Systems (IDCS) mission. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex systems and leading a team of three (3) Manual and Automation test engineers. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing. This role will support test planning and execution on an exciting new technology program from requirements definition through acceptance testing. This position is located near Lackland Air Force Base; all work is onsite.
Primary Tasks
Create and Maintain Epics and User Stories based off User's 1067 requirements
Represent team to Stakeholders, conducts research for contextual inquires and usability testing
Lead Agile Test Engineers across cross-functional software development teams to test program-supported items
Perform Agile testing in support of Cyber Software Development within SAFe and DevSecOps environments following Scrum practices
Stay abreast of failure/performance/yield analysis and recommends continuous test process improvements to management
Coach and train test engineers and other team members in Dev/Sec/Ops SAFe Agile best practices
Create Agile test plans, testing reports, methods, and equipment to assure reliability of product in conjunction with product design and specifications
Collaborate with Developers and Test Automation Engineers to develop automated tests that streamline regression testing
Work with Product Owners to address customer issues and address defects and feature requests
Build test planning cycle with sample testing and tests to be performed
Consult with System Engineering, development, external testing teams and system operators to coordinate and test program supported items
Perform analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products
Evaluate developer testing and provides recommendations to improve unit and integration testing
Produce reports on each test activity and tracks test metrics in Jira application
Communicate with members of the team daily to ensure accuracy and efficiency is utilized in daily delegations
Provide technical guidance during a significant project in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining program.
Translating and interpreting functional requirements into test cases.
Maintain test environment and install new software code as necessary as needed to support applications
Develop and use automated test
Perform regression testing, covering full suite of Operational Test Scenarios for builds and/or images to be delivered to customer.
Develop detailed test plans, test data and define test acceptance criteria.
Prepare test report summarizing test results including anomalies, systems errors, and configuration changes.
Support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements.
Verify specific action or function of code and demonstrate successfully to customer.
Assist the software development team in the implementation of automated regression testing.
Support Customer Demonstration, data prep and UAT activities
Basic Qualifications
BS/BA degree with a minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience or 10+ years of relevant experience with Masters Degree; OR 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of degree
10+ years of experience in configuration management or related roles within the IT industry.
Proficiency in Confluence and Jira, with demonstrated experience in leveraging these tools to support configuration management activities.
Strong understanding of ITIL (Infotrmation Technology Infrastructure Library) principles and practices, particularly in the areas of Configuration management, change management, and release management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve configuration-related issues effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Must be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret / SCI clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must have Comptia Sec+ Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting Air Force Cyber or USCYBERCOM
Prior experience with defensive cyber
Prior experience with AFLCMC/HNCD

Pay Range:
Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
