Job Description
The Director of Admissions Processing provides strategic oversight and leadership for all admissions processing operations, including application intake, document management, transcript evaluation, and decision workflows. This role ensures compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements, supervises staff, and drives process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity. The position collaborates with campus partners to support enrollment goals, optimize systems (e.g., Banner), and ensure a high-quality applicant experience.
Responsibilities:
Direct the processing of applications and documents to expedite the evaluation and admission decision-making for undergraduate applicants, international applicants, and other applicant groups as relevant.
Manage application and document intake and storage using Laserfiche and BANNER ERP and supporting software, including, when needed, development and implementation of rules, processes, data mapping as required, updating and testing for system upgrades.
Stay abreast of federal, state, and local regulations, demographics and employment trends to determine impact on admission to the university.
Attend multi-departmental meetings and serve on committees responsible for coordinating and maintaining data.
Lead the Admissions Processing Team in crafting individual and team goals and targets that serve prospective students, achieve enrollment targets, and develop highly capable staff and monitor and assess goal achievement. Evaluate staff work performance based on data driven outcomes
Manage, evaluate, and refine Undergraduate Admissions operational processes and procedures. Serve as the data steward for Undergraduate Admissions Processes and partner with IT, to recommend and operationalize new technologies to meet enrollment objectives.
Manage and update ApplyTexas, and third-party admissions application systems and settings.
Supervises and trains unit staff.
Responsible for assigning staff to projects and includes the participation in the recruitment, supervision and development of staff, performance evaluations and performance management.-Plans and directs workflow.-Investigates complaints and resolves problems.-Reviews, recommends, and implements policy changes and initiates process changes.-Provides input for annual budgets.-Directs the preparation of reports for administration.
Provides ongoing technical expertise which utilizes an advanced knowledge and understanding of the SIS and other enrollment systems by troubleshooting and working with vendors to resolve issues and/or request expanded development.

Process application denials and conduct review decision posting
Manage access to necessary accounts, such as for score and transcript downloads and ApplyTexas
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in related field.
Ten (10) years of related experience.
