The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day warehouse execution within the San Antonio Distribution Center. This role provides direct leadership to frontline warehouse associates and ensures safe, efficient, and accurate execution of inbound, outbound, inventory movement, and transportation processes in a high-volume CPG environment. This position plays a critical role in the startup and stabilization of a 360,000 sq. ft. ambient distribution center and requires a hands-on leader capable of building structure, driving accountability, and delivering consistent operational performance while demonstrating readiness for expanded leadership responsibility.

Job Description:

Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday - Friday, with flexibility as needed

Work Location: 302 North Tayman, San Antonio, Texas 78211

Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $73k to $124k Annually with additional bonus potential

Roles and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Development Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop 15–25 warehouse associates per shift.

  • Establish a culture of accountability, safety, and performance.

  • Conduct shift huddles and communicate key operational priorities clearly and consistently.

  • Address performance gaps through timely coaching and corrective action.

  • Actively develop team members and build bench strength within the operation.

  • Demonstrate capability to manage cross-functional priorities and long-term operational planning.

  • Consistently identify improvement opportunities beyond assigned scope.

Startup & Change Leadership

  • Support DC startup activities including process implementation, racking transitions, and system stabilization.

  • Participate in SAP S/4HANA TRM go-live and post-implementation stabilization.

  • Identify process gaps during ramp-up and drive corrective action.

  • Build standardized work processes and enforce operational discipline.

  • Show aptitude for strategic thinking and performance management in a fast-paced startup environment.

Operational Execution

  • Supervise inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and internal product movement.

  • Ensure dock scheduling and transportation coordination align with shipment commitments.

  • Monitor daily throughput to support high-volume CPG distribution.

  • Maintain compliance with SQF, CTPAT, and safety standards.

  • Ensure proper trailer inspections, documentation accuracy, and system transaction integrity.

  • Demonstrate ownership mentality by resolving issues before escalation.

Time Management & Planning

  • Develop and execute daily labor plans aligned with volume forecasts.

  • Adjust staffing in real time based on operational demand.

  • Prioritize workload effectively under tight shipping deadlines.

  • Maintain schedule discipline to support retailer appointment windows.

  • Balance labor productivity with overtime control and cost awareness.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify root causes of operational disruptions and implement sustainable solutions.

  • Resolve dock congestion, system errors, inventory discrepancies, and transportation delays.

  • Utilize KPI reporting and system data to drive performance improvements.

  • Exhibit readiness for expanded leadership responsibilities through sound decision-making and initiative.

  • Demonstrate aptitude for broader operational oversight and long-term improvement planning.

System & Technical Requirements

  • 3–5 years of SAP S/4HANA experience required.

  • 3–5 years of Transportation Management (TRM) experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse transactions, goods movement, and transportation execution.

  • Ability to analyze system data to resolve operational issues.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and operational reporting tools.

Experience & Education Requirements

  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume CPG distribution center.

  • Startup or major operational transition experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience managing multi-shift operations.

  • Food or retail-compliant distribution experience preferred.

  • Associate’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field required.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Schedule Flexibility

  • Must be available to support flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak volume periods.

  • Ability to work extended hours during startup stabilization and high-volume seasons.

  • Willingness to adjust schedule to support operational needs and customer commitments.
