This role offers the opportunity to work in a scenic outdoor environment while coordinating staff, assisting with park management, and ensuring visitors have a safe and memorable experience. As a Lead Ranger, youand#8217;ll play a key role in guiding park operations, supporting resource protection, and helping our team deliver exceptional service to everyone who visits the park.Under the direction of the Park Superintendent and Assistant Park Superintendent, this position performs highly complex (senior-level) maintenance and construction supervisory work. Provides guidance, schedules workload, and duties include but are not limited to, preventative maintenance (cleaning/inspecting) and repairs to facilities, buildings, equipment, vehicles, and grounds. Performs specialized maintenance duties, such as: natural resource management (including participating in prescribed burns), pesticide and herbicide application, electrical work, plumbing, and trail maintenance. Other duties may include report preparation, training staff, project planning, collecting revenue, purchasing, issuing permits, customer service, and interpretive programming. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
