nVent EH & S Specialist in Samut, Thailand

General Function

  • Resource the Facilities/Group in EHS management and technologies, facilitate development of needed EHS competencies, support the working of the EHS Committee/Council and provide EHS staff services to the Facility/Group.

  • Serves as an EHS advisor to management, a coordinator to the line organization and secretary to the EHS Committee/Council for the Facility/Group.

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of an effective Environmental, Health & Safety Management Program/System for the Facility/Group, which comply with applicable local legislative regulations and requirements, Corporate/TEPS policies and standards.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance & consultation on development and implementation of EHS standards, programs and management systems

  • Assist the facilities in fostering an integrated EHS management structure and culture, with clear line responsibility for EHS management and loss prevention.

  • Assist the line organization build good EHS awareness, attitude and value (mindset) throughout the workforce.

  • Developing, maintaining and promoting EHS policies, standards, procedures and rules to prevent loss.

  • Assist in the setting up of the EHS Committee/Teams, infrastructure and oversee coordination between these EHS committees/teams.

  • Conduct field and system EHS assessment (inspections/audits), report accordingly to the line organization, Facility EHS Committee/Council and management.

  • Review & analysis trends of EHS incidents and performance, to identify any significant issues/gaps, inform and recommend corrective measures.

  • Keep abreast of relevant EHS legislative regulations & requirements, and Company EHS policies, standards and initiatives.

  • Advise on compliance and implementation of relevant EHS legislative regulations & requirements, and Company EHS policies, standards and initiatives.

  • Support area management, in the conduct and maintenance of EHS hazard & risk assessment, to identify existing EHS hazards and risks, and work with the area management to put in place the required controls.

  • Facilitate in EHS training needs analysis and co-ordinate the implementation of needed training programs with area management.

  • Maintain a system of measuring safety performance, which is in-line with TEPS EHS Risk Reduction Program and TEPS Compliance Program.
