Job Summary

Enrollment Management is seeking a social media assistant to help with the management of their Facebook, Instagram, and other social media accounts. The assistant will work in-office or remotely with the Enrollment Management marketing and communications team to develop new campaigns, design posts, and schedule content. Candidates should be creative, open to learning new things, and be a clear communicator who is not afraid to ask questions.

Responsibilities

  • Design posts and stories for the University of Utah Office of Admissions social media accounts in Canva and/or with Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Post videos to YouTube page and provide captions.

  • Create reels and assist with video content.

  • Stay on top of new social media trends and present ideas to capitalize on them to the creative team.

  • Work with the creative team to schedule and plan campaigns, as well as contribute to the social media content calendar.

  • Respond to comments/shares/etc. on social media accounts.

  • Assist in gathering information and content, especially that which relates to student recruitment.

  • Assist in the creation of analytics reports.

  • Meet weekly with the creative team to collaborate on projects.

  • Stay within brand guidelines for the university and enrollment management.

Minimum Qualifications

This is a 3 month, temporary, non-benefited position.

Preferences

  • Current college/university student.

  • Experience in graphic design, social media management, and video creation/editing.

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and dashboards.

  • Experience with design software (Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Self-motivated and self-starter.

  • Creative mindset.

  • Ability to collaborate with a team.

  • Strong communicator, especially via virtual platforms.
