Join a passionate team of finance professionals as a Purchasing Agent with the State ofUtah in the Division of Technology Services (DTS).Purchasing agent assists DTS in fulfilling it's mission by:Purchasing of products and services for the entire departmentEnsuring that we adhere to all State Purchasing rulesProvide information to customers on purchasing processes and proceduresRecommends possible options to increase purchasing powerKey responsibilities of this position are as follows.Sourcing & Procurement: Act as a primary point of contact for agency purchase requests, ensuring all procurement activities align with DGO standards and timelines.IT Asset Management Quality Assurance: Maintain the integrity of IT Asset Management functions through proactive data management and process auditing.Financial Oversight: Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies to ensure our vendors get paid with in agreed to net terms.Communications: Managing high-volume communication within the DTS procurement group mailbox.Market Resilience: Monitor and respond to global supply chain constraints and price fluctuations to ensure the best value and availability for the state.PI Planning: Pivot as necessary to support committed to features to ensure we drive taggable value for the customers we serve during this quarter.Adhoc Requests: Many things come up that are unplanned work to help our customers win. This position will be key to keep up with ever growing demands.
