BioFire Diagnostics, LLC. Project Manager 2 in Salt Lake City, Utah
The Project Management role will provide project management support for multiple cross functional working groups associated with software development and deployment initiatives. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordination, scheduling, and execution support across several parallel initiatives. The role is focused on enabling effective collaboration, maintaining momentum, and ensuring transparency of progress, risks, and dependencies. The role will be based in the US but requires daily coordination with international teams.
Primary Duties Include:
Leads project teams, ensuring projects' scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are met.
Aligns projects' goal and priority with organizational strategy.
Shapes business cases, charters, and benefit/value tracking.
Leads the development of project plans, schedule and budget estimation, and resource allocation.
Conducts or assists with feasibility studies, vendor evaluations, and proposal reviews, ensuring compliance with project standards.
Maintains regular communication with stakeholders, clarifying expectations, and providing status updates on project milestones, risks, and issues/solutions.
Promotes adherence to project management best practices, support team development, and ensure quality control throughout project execution.
Leads cross-site, multi-country team coordination.
Proactive project risks management in identifying critical risks and implementing robust mitigation plans.
Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree: Technical or Business Related
5+ years of experience managing fully life cycle software development and deployment projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of healthcare IT infrastructure and data standards
PMP Certification preferred

Approximately 20% travel (international & domestic)
The estimated salary range for this role is between $85,000-$143,300. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
