Job Summary

Manager, Administration Manager

The Division of Vascular Surgery is seeking a visionary and experienced healthcare operational leader to serve as the Administration Management Manager to lead the division. This high-impact, highly visible role provides full administrative oversight of the division.

This position reports directly to the Division Chief of Vascular Surgery and oversees two administrative assistants and two patient care coordinators. In this role, the Administration Management Manager will lead strategic planning, operational execution, and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment, continuity, and innovation in vascular care.

The Division of Vascular Surgery is comprised of seven faculty members, twelve advanced practice clinicians, and twenty staff. Together, they lead robust clinical, research, and education programs that serve patients across the region and contribute significantly to the Department of Surgery’s mission.

Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Ability to network and forge strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including physicians, department and division leadership, hospital leadership, and other key stakeholders.

  • Dynamic and resilient leader able to rapidly adjust to change and evolving priorities.

  • Strategic thinker/planner able to add value to an organization that is beyond the accomplishment of day-to-day tasks.

  • Implement organizational strategies to drive operational excellence.

  • Assist in managing divisional activities within the university, focusing on operational effectiveness.

  • Assist in managing budgets and resource allocation within the division to support the organization’s strategic objectives.

  • Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Assist the division with workforce operations matters.

Financial Management

  • Support the division chief to oversee the operating budget for the Division of Vascular Surgery, including monthly expenses and accounting.

Clinical Program Oversight

  • Works closely with the clinic manager for clinical work operating out of the University Hospital, Farmington Health Center and South Jordan Health Center.

  • Acts as the liaison between the division and all clinical outreach destinations, managing the schedule, arranging travel, and ensuring the timely reimbursement for division outreach expenses and billable patient charges. Outreach clinic locations include Roosevelt, Utah, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Evanston, Wyoming, and Elko, Nevada.

  • Support expansion of clinical programs across vascular surgery and subspecialties.

Research Administration

  • Provides support for research personnel in the division and their mission.

Human Resources & Organizational Development

  • Coordinates the hiring of any new faculty, APCs, and staff. Once hired, supports new hires with licensing/credentialing/onboarding to ensure a smooth transition to the team.

Manages all attending and APC licensing, credentialing and hospital appointments; ensures they are renewed in a timely manner

Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) +6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) +4 years of directly related work experience.

This is a Manager-Level position in the Management track.

Minimum Qualifications
