Job Summary
The University Campus Store is seeking a part-time Institutional Sales Associate to support departmental and organizational sales efforts. This role assists customers and internal teams throughout the full sales cycle—from initial inquiry and quote preparation to order processing, fulfillment, and follow-up.
The Institutional Sales Associate plays an important role in delivering a positive and efficient customer experience for campus departments and partners. This position is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in sales, account coordination, and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities
Assist in preparing, reviewing, and organizing customer quotes for a variety of products
Support order entry and processing, ensuring alignment with quoted pricing and specifications
Help manage inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions
Identify customer needs and direct requests to the appropriate team members when needed
Provide timely and professional responses to customer questions and requests
Communicate with customers regarding product availability, pricing, timelines, and order details
Support follow-up communication after quotes and orders to ensure a smooth purchasing experience
Help monitor open quotes and pending orders to ensure timely progression through the sales cycle
Maintain accurate and organized records of quotes, orders, and customer interactions
Build familiarity with repeat customers and departmental needs to provide more personalized support
Collaborate with the buying team to verify product details, pricing, and availability
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
Assist in tracking order status and communicating updates to customers and team members
Help identify and escalate order issues, delays, or discrepancies for resolution
Support general sales operations tasks that improve team efficiency and organization
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current University of Utah student.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational habits
Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with email, spreadsheets, and basic business systems
Willingness to learn new systems and processes
