WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

Responsible to instruct Trainer Academies in assigned specialty area or to provide observance of offsite training programs; mentor instructors and ensure compliance with applicable guidelines. Deliver corporate classes to community groups at corporate facilities and/or at community or corporate sites. Provide high quality instruction per program guidelines, provide necessary information/reports in a timely manner and properly maintain equipment in their possession. Provide instructional and curricula guidance to instructors. Primary instructor for major strategic clients. Serve as team lead. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

 

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

 

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

1: Teach Instructor Trainer academies as designed in the assigned specialty area for the American Red Cross only when approved and directed by Training Services. Teach ARC courses within current certifications to businesses and to the community where applicable. Achieve instructional authorization for applicable program levels.

2: Manage all equipment and inventory as applicable. This may include the transport, unload and set-up of necessary materials and supplies needed to teach class. At conclusion of class, is responsible to clean equipment, report maintenance issues and return to prescribed location as applicable. Coordinate with co-instructor in preparation for academy. Prepare and distribute pre-class assignments for course participants and post-course reporting appropriately and within the defined timelines. Prepare and submit electronic and hard copy paperwork from the course.

3: Coordinate with host site management to ensure equipment is available safe and ITE knows how it works.

4: Evaluate and communicate IT Candidate performance and progress throughout the course.

5: Set up and tear down classroom space each day. Ensure all materials borrowed from the hostsite have been returned.
