HCA Healthcare Cardiovascular Services Technician PRN in Salt Lake City, Utah

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Cardiovascular Services Technician, you will be responsible for performing stress tests by preparing patients and operating equipment to provide data required to diagnose and treat patients with known or suspected cardiac disease.   • You will perform a variety of cardiac diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

  • You will be responsible for following standard procedures and functions as part of the Echocardiology team.

  • You will function as the scrub assistant and monitor cases

  • You will be responsible fora variety of diagnostic equipment. Troubleshoots and maintains equipment, able to open and close the room.

  • You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room

  • Youmay,with proper training and knowledge of other functions within the cardiology services, perform other duties related to clinical diagnostic testing and/or operational tasks that manifest high quality patient care.

  • You will work in a team environment and be expected to perform most job duties independently according to hospital policy and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Stress EKG Rhythm interpretation REQUIRED

  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.

  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification.

  • Knowledge of various computer software programs and databases.

  • Must have the ability to take direction in stressful situations while remaining calm.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
