Bakery Product Development Specialist | Salt Lake City,UT

We are looking for a Bakery Product Development Specialist to help create and improve bakery products in a manufacturing environment. This role works on developing new products,improving existing recipes,and supporting production teams to ensure products can be made consistently at scale.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in baking,pastry,or food manufacturing and enjoys experimenting with formulations,troubleshooting production issues,and bringing new bakery products from concept to production.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and improving bakery products such as breads,laminated doughs,and specialty baked goods
  • Test and adjust formulas to ensure products perform well in large-scale manufacturing
  • Conduct product trials in the lab and on the production floor
  • Work with production teams to troubleshoot product or process issues
  • Evaluate ingredients and recommend improvements to recipes and product quality
  • Document product formulas,testing results,and product specifications

Qualifications

  • 3 5+ years of experience in baking,pastry,or food manufacturing
  • Experience working with dough systems,fermentation,or bakery formulations
  • Hands-on experience in product development,bakery production,or recipe formulation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Degree in Food Science,Baking & Pastry,Culinary Arts,or related field preferred (not required)

Pay

$30.00 per hour

Schedule

Full Time | Primarily Day Shift | Monday Friday | 7:00am 4:30pm

  • Shift flexibility during trials
  • Some domestic and international travel required as needed
