Job Summary

The Department of Molecular is looking for a part-time employee to provide routine office support. The office assistant will greet and provide a welcoming environment to students, staff, faculty, and visitors while performing administrative duties. This role supports the daily operations of the Department by managing office activities, assisting with inquiries, and performing a variety of tasks to ensure a welcoming and efficient office environment. This team member will be working as part of a friendly, yet focused team. They will need to be dependable, able to focus on their assigned tasks, able to problem-solve, work independently, and be trustworthy. This position has no responsibility for providing patient care or doing any research.

Hours are flexible within regular business hours to accommodate student schedules.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collecting & distribution of campus mail as it relates to Department of PHCEU .

  • Working on visitor itineraries.

  • Document management, digital filing of paperwork, and scanning documents.

  • Photocopying and other office related work.

  • Word processing, data entry and internet searches.

  • Visiting campus offices to deliver or pick up documents.

  • Handling delivery notices of supplies.

  • Supporting weekly department seminar setup and ensuring A/V connections.

  • Maintaining and updating department databases and info sheets.

  • Provide administrative support for projects or programs assigned by supervisors.

  • Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain compliance with university policies.

Minimum Qualifications

EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:

Administrative Assistants, I: Requires little to no related experience.
