Responsibilities:
- Assist the dietary department in meal preparation and food service
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary restrictions and special requests
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and knife skills
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines and regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
