Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Salinas, California

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in Salinas, California. In this role, you will provide bilingual administrative support while ensuring the smooth operation of office procedures. This is a long-term contract position, offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where organizational skills and multitasking abilities are highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support, including preparing correspondence, maintaining filing systems, and managing databases.

• Assist administrators with tasks related to their areas of responsibility, ensuring efficient coordination of office activities.

• Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, transcribe minutes, and compile reports as required.

• Maintain calendars, schedule appointments, and organize travel arrangements for administrators and staff.

• Operate and troubleshoot standard office equipment, such as computers, scanners, and copiers.

• Translate documents and correspondence into Spanish, ensuring clear communication with students, parents, and community members.

• Compile and post statistical data, support budget development, and process invoices for payment.

• Train personnel on clerical processes and cross-train staff to perform critical functions.

• Research and gather information needed for compliance, payroll reports, and other administrative tasks.

• Assist in preparing materials and agendas for board meetings and other special projects as assigned. Requirements • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, with a minimum of three years in a similar role.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.

• Strong organizational and clerical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Familiarity with standard office equipment and software, including word processing and data entry tools.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with staff, students, and community members.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

• Knowledge of basic budgeting and payroll processes is preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in administrative support are a plus. TalentMatch®
