OCCK is looking for an Austism Support Specialist to join the team! This position will offer supports, and assist in the development of skills with a child/young adult with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized support to children and young adults (ages 021) in home, school, and community settings
- Implementing ABA therapy and other skill-building strategies as outlined in treatment plans
- Communicating with case manager and following treatment plans
- Marketing Autism Services in the community, meeting with community partners
- Assisting with behavior support plans and promoting positive coping strategies
- Collaborating with families to model strategies and reinforce consistency across settings
- Documenting daily services, data collection, and progress notes in Q90 database
- Attending team meetings (IEPs, wrap-arounds, school meetings) as needed to support the childs success
- Preparing and organizing materials needed for sessions
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for children during and after sessions
- Attending required trainings to build knowledge and skills in autism support and behavior intervention
- Other direct support duties as assigned by supervisor
Position Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Have strong oral and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to work with a diverse group of people in a team setting
- Must be able to maintain a valid Kansas Driver\'s License
