Your Role at KIK
The Plant Controller reports to the Divisional Controller and serves as the onsite finance leader and strategic business partner to plant operations. This role leads planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and GAAP standards. By translating financial data into clear business insights, the Plant Controller drives operational performance, strengthens cost control, and improves site results. This position partners closely with plant leadership and offers visibility to senior management, creating meaningful opportunity for impact and growth.
What You’ll Do
Financial Reporting & Close
Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close in accordance with GAAP
Maintain full income statement and balance sheet responsibility for the facility
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and internal controls
Business Partnership & Analysis
Provide daily and weekly financial reporting on production and spending metrics to the Plant Manager and leadership team
Deliver operational financial analysis to corporate and plant stakeholders
Develop actionable recommendations to improve profitability and performance
Prepare ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as requested
Cost & Inventory Management
Manage inventory controls, including cycle counts, obsolescence monitoring, and inventory turns analysis
Analyze production standards and investigate variances (labor, material, overhead)
Support operational teams in identifying cost reduction opportunities
Planning & Forecasting
Lead the annual budget and monthly forecast process
Compare actual performance against budget, prior year, and forecasts
Identify risks and opportunities and communicate proactive solutions
Assets & Compliance
Track and safeguard fixed assets
Support audits and prepare reports for regulatory and corporate requirements
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
3 or more years of accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment
CPA preferred
Experience in CPG operational accounting strongly preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial presentation skills
Ability to influence and collaborate with operations leadership
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience required - Oracle JDE preferred
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
