Job Summary and Qualifications
Treats patients according to plan using conventional treatment methods.
Re-assesses patients and communicates with therapist.
Completes all patient documentation in a timely manner.
Initiates and documents patient teaching including family and/or significant others. Uses appropriate Patient Education documentation modality.
Communicates effectively with other health care professionals.
Demonstrates an active involvement in continued learning.
Participates in activities, which promote department operations and program development.
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
Preferred: Previous Experience in an acute care hospital
EDUCATION
Required: Graduation from an accredited course of study for an Occupational Therapist Assistant or Possession of a valid Virginia license to practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant or in the process of obtaining licensure within 90 days through a traineeship and board exam.
CPR certification or certified within 90 days of employment.
Preferred: Advance training in a specialty area related to specialized patient populations.
