What Acute & Alternate Care Inside Sales contributes to Cardinal Health
Direct Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers through primarily telephone contact to meet individual and organizational sales objectives.
Business Segment Overview
The Acute and Alternate Care Inside Sales team works directly with both acute and non-acute pharmacies selling Specialty Pharmaceutical Plasma, Limited Distribution Drugs (LDD). Our Sales Consultants are experts in the SPD Channel portfolio as well as pharmacy operations that support our customers with critical pharmacy needs.
Job Summary
The Manager, Acute and Alternate Care Inside Sales will oversee Sales Consultants, Sr Sales Consultants and Jr Reps and will be responsible for over $25B in annual sales - driving business unit performance through new business, customer retention, growth and deal strategy for acute and alternate care pharmacies. The Acute and Alternate Care Inside Sales Reps are responsible for territory management, selling processes, post-sales implementation, and issue resolution for thousands of pharmacies across the regions.
Travel: Nationwide (remote), with travel up to 25% of the time
Territory: Nationwide US
Responsibilities
Manage a team of inside sales professionals
Develop the sales team; build and implement individual and team goals that support the growth of the territory through overall business unit, SPD Topline and Short-Dated goals.
Set performance goals and monitor progress of direct reports, responsible for the development and guidance of direct reports
Collaborate with the internal key stakeholders including but not limited to, Outside Sales, Consignment, Sourcing, Inventory, Finance, Customer Service, Customer Success, Operations, Compensation, Credit
Collaborate with manufacturing partners
Qualifications
5+ years of Specialty Pharmaceutical Distribution sales experience preferred
Health System, Specialty Pharmacy, and Infusion Center experience preferred
Plasma, Limited Distribution Drug (LDD) experience preferred
Strong communication, relationship building skills and financial acumen
Strong leadership skills with a focus on constructive feedback, talent development and driving accountability
Ability to inspire a team while also rolling up sleeves and digging into details
Ability to travel to our annual National Sales Meeting, conferences, internal/external meetings as needed

Manage department operations and supervises professional employees, and business support staff
Demonstrates knowledge of Cardinal Health and customer industry, including: key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, challenges, reimbursement, government regulation; demonstrates working knowledge of how Cardinal Health offerings match a customers’ unique business needs
Participates in the development of tools, policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
Ensures employees operate within guidelines
Interacts with subordinates, peers, customers, and suppliers at various management levels; may interact with senior management
Interactions normally involve research and resolution of issues related to operations and/or projects
Gains consensus from various parties involved
Anticipated pay range: $113,700 - $160,160 includes targeted variable pay
Bonus eligible: Yes, included in the above range.
