Material Handler / Manufacturing Operator
Location: Salem, NJ
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (overtime as needed)
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Operator / Material Handler plays a key role in producing first‑quality products in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This position supports daily production by safely moving materials, operating equipment, and rotating through multiple functions within the Cushion plant rather than being assigned to one fixed task.
Key Responsibilities
Operate sit‑down forklifts and overhead cranes to transport materials between departments
Stage, palletize, and ship materials to support production flow
Inspect materials, components, and equipment to ensure quality and compliance with standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
Complete required production, safety, and environmental documentation
Support production needs by working overtime when required
Required Skills & Experience
Previous sit‑down forklift experience
Shipping and palletizing experience
Manufacturing or production environment experience
Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift or leverage 50+ lbs throughout the shift
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating overhead cranes
Ability to work with moderate supervision while exercising independent judgment

Work Environment
This position is based at a global manufacturing and marketing facility in Salem, New Jersey. The standard shift is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM, with flexibility required for overtime and occasional schedule adjustments based on department needs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
