The Store Leader is responsible for the overall success of their store including cultivating an environment of genuine customer connection, leading through the company values, building strong teams, executing visual brand expectations, and directing all activities required to drive sales and maximize results.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Goals: Owns profitability and business results for the store. Achieves Sales % to Plan Transaction improvement over LY Meets or Exceeds MCC/MYM Performance Goal Drives consistent improvement in Customer 1st Survey (NPS)

Customer Experience: Responsible for the overall store and meets maurices service and selling expectations through the SMILE Program: Start with a Smile -welcome and connect authentically with all customers, treat a return as an opportunity for an exchange. Moments that Matter - ask open-ended questions, suggest, show and sell outfit options, use the fitting room as your stage. Inspire with Fashion - make it fun through knowledge and expertise, style outfits together and adapt through customer objections. Leading with Loyalty - talk about loyalty with all customers, understand how to overcome objections. Everlasting Smiles - maximize final moments (x-store, thank you, share the survey, treat all transactions as a positive experience.

Store Operations: Responsible for having an operationally sound store by ensuring all team members contribute to the following expectations: Efficiently and accurately executes maurices Standard Operating Practices (SOP). Understands and executes all visual brand expectations. Practices a merchant mindset and adapts as needed. Consistently works scheduled shifts and maintains a flexible schedule to meet store needs. Minimizes inventory loss and ensures team adheres to all company policies and procedures, safety practices, and style guidelines. Opens and closes the store according to company standards.

Talent and Leadership: Manages talent and leads team. Sets daily goals, determining and assigning tasks, and motivating the team. Drives a customer focused Omni Channel store environment. Uses social and community to drive traffic. Manages payroll hours to support the needs of the business and sustain profitability. Ensures work is accomplished on time, thoroughly and according to company standards. Trains and coaches team members and provides timely, open, honest, and direct feedback. Celebrates associate successes. Actively participates in maurices training programs and engages all team members in using training resources effectively. Exercises good judgement and demonstrates professionalism. Networks, recruits and hires team. Ensures store is staffed and has succession plans in place. Holds team accountable through follow up and ongoing communication.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

1 - 2 years of supervisory experience required, preferably in a retail apparel environment. Strong selling and customer relationship building required. Proven track record of setting and achieving goals. Ability to lead by example, make sound decisions, take action on ideas and demonstrate professionalism. Experience hiring, promoting, motivating and developing strong teams. A willingness to relate to customers of all ages and background . Diligence and the ability to persevere in the face of resistance or setback. High School Degree or GED preferred. Unique Requirements Ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to operate and use all equipment to run the store. Ability to operate computerized register system. Ability to follow direction and work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment, while working through competing priorities.
