About the Position
The City of St. Paul is hiring a Youth and Community Project Manager to oversee the Youth On Boards (https://www.stpaul.gov/departments/parks-and-recreation/sprockets/resources-just-teens/youth-boards) and Saint Paul Youth Commission (https://www.stpaul.gov/node/143731/youth-commission) which are programs of Sprockets (Saint Paul's Out of School Time Network). The Youth and Community Project Manager plays a key role in supporting and empowering young people to lead, learn, and make an impact in their community. This position oversees youth programming, facilitates trainings and events, and helps ensure youth voices are meaningfully integrated into City boards and decision-making.
Here's what you can expect to do in this role:
Plan and lead youth programming and events, including trainings, meetings, and leadership development activities.
Support and guide youth participants, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for learning and engagement.
Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders.
Manage program operations, including tracking participation, processing stipends, and handling required documentation.
Oversee budgets and grant reporting, ensuring programs are well-supported and compliant with funding requirements.

Position Requirements
Five (5) years of related experience in program or project coordination, youth development, community engagement, or a closely related field. A Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Education, Public Administration, Public Policy or a closely related field may be substituted for up to four (4) years of required experience as follows:
Associate Degree = 2 years
Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years
Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
