In this position...

This position will be part of the North America Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team and will require a strong knowledge of DevOps, infrastructure as code, cloud engineering, automation and programming, Google Cloud Platform, application and infrastructure monitoring and observability, maintenance, and site + service reliability improvements.

As well as directly contributing, technical leadership, architecture design, and improving existing offerings are key responsibilities for this position.

What you'll do...

  • Architect and design complex cloud solutions in Google Cloud Platform

  • Design, implement, and test secure zero-trust security solutions on a new network

  • Design, automate and manage a highly available and scalable cloud deployment environment that allows development teams to deploy and run their services

  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and modernization teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions while leveraging scalability, high-performance and security

  • Modernize existing on-prem and cloud solutions to enhance the capabilities of existing systems

  • Provide architecture and implementation guidance for teams using and migrating to various CI/CD solutions

  • Automate deployments and manage applications and infrastructure as code in Google Cloud Platform.

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with industry best practices

  • Ensure optimal functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with security policies and best practices

  • Collaborate with various teams to identify optimization strategies and help develop self-healing capabilities

  • Develop and maintain observability solutions

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and issues, and application deployment issues

  • Regularly review existing systems and make lean recommendations for improvements

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and operating mid to large scale public cloud environments

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps with tools such as Google Cloud Build, Tekton, or Azure DevOps

  • 3+ years of coding and scripting experience, that includes traditional languages like Python, Powershell, GoLang, Java, JavaScript, Node.js

  • 3+ years of experience in Database management and operations in relational databases such as PostGreSQL

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud observability solutions such as Dynatrace, Grafana, or DataDog

  • 3+ years of experience in serverless solutions such as Google Cloud Run or AWS Lambda

  • 3+ years of experience in architecture design for cloud solutions

  • 3+ years of experience in GitOps

  • 3+ years of experience in provisioning Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Even better, you may have...

  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud security solutions such as Cloud Armor, various IAM solutions,

  • 3+ years of experience in Docker/Kubernetes (image building, k8s schedule)

This position is a salary grade 5 – 8 and ranges from $68,300- $192,900.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
