HAP Transportation has been around since 2010 and is a part of a larger non-profit organization that serves the immigrant and refugee communities. Salary: $26.00 - $30.00/hour (Depending on qualifications). Position Responsibilities Safely transport children to and from school and on field trips according to scheduled times and routes. Operate the school bus in a safe and effective manner at all times in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life. Maintain order and security on the bus and obey all laws, regulations, and rules of conduct. Maintain discipline on the bus, and document any behavioral/discipline issues Ensure that the school bus is in good operating condition at all times. Maintain fuel level at a half tank in order to keep the vehicle at maximum efficiency and usage. Complete a thorough inspection of the bus before every trip. Accurately and thoroughly complete a Pre-Trip Inspection form that is signed and dated, and submit to the delegated staff person. Perform minor maintenance duties as well as clean the bus as scheduled and/or required, including keeping the bus free of debris, sweeping, dusting, and cleaning windows.
