Job Title: Punch Press Setup Operator Job Description
The company specializes in several industries, including medical, aerospace, automotive, heating and cooling. We are seeking a skilled Punch Press Setup Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in setting up and operating punch presses, particularly AIDA punch presses with progressive and one punch machines. The role involves working with various sheet metal fabrication equipment, executing processes such as blanking, punching, bending, drawing, and embossing.
Responsibilities
Perform setups and operate punch presses effectively.
Run various metal stamping machines.
Work with materials including stainless steel, aluminum, cold rolled steel, hot rolled steel, beryllium copper, brass, and mild steel.
Inspect parts using inspection tools to ensure quality.
Essential Skills
2+ years of recent experience in setting up and operating punch presses.
Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with press brakes, CNC machines, and sheet metal fabrication.
Ability to perform machine setup and operation.
Skilled in blueprint reading and inspection.

Work Environment
The work environment is a large, organized sheet metal shop with tool making, quality, and production departments. It houses numerous machines like press brakes, punch presses, laser/turrets, and CNC machines. The setting is loud but well-structured, accommodating approximately 300 employees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAINT PAUL, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
