As a Mechanic, you’ll diagnose, repair, and upfit heavy‑duty trucks and equipment —from tow trucks to refuse vehicles—while enjoying a supportive team and excellent working conditions.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose and repair heavy‑duty trucks & equipment (dump trucks, roll‑offs, garbage trucks, sweepers, yard dogs, etc.)
Troubleshoot hydraulic systems (pumps, meters, valves, lines)
Troubleshoot electrical systems (primarily 12‑volt wiring)
Perform truck & trailer repairs (doors, walls, lights, air systems, compressors)
Upfit and customize trucks to meet job and customer specifications
Perform welding and light fabrication (plasma cutters, drills, custom mounts)
Read schematics, manuals, and diagrams to guide repairs
Document repairs accurately and follow all safety procedures
Work collaboratively on complex repair and custom projects
What We’re Looking For
Required
3+ years’ experience as a heavy‑duty mechanic
Strong hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Electrical diagnostic experience (12‑volt systems)
Welding fundamentals
Ability to bring basic personal mechanic tools
Safety‑focused with strong attention to detail
Nice to Have
Custom truck or upfitting experience
Advanced welding or fabrication skills
Experience with refuse trucks, tow trucks, or construction equipment
Hydraulics, pneumatics, or diesel experience

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
