Position Overview

As a Machine Builder, you will assemble custom machinery by interpreting assembly diagrams, positioning and aligning components, and ensuring each machine operates flawlessly. This role is ideal for mechanically skilled individuals who thrive in a fast‑paced, build‑to‑order environment.

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and assembly diagrams

  • Assemble, install, and align machine components and sub‑assemblies using hand and power tools

  • Fabricate parts using mills, lathes, saws, and other machine shop equipment

  • Use cranes, hoists, and specialized tools to position and assemble machine components

  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues in collaboration with engineering

Essential Skills

  • Strong proficiency with hand and power tools

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematics

  • Basic electrical wiring and assembly knowledge

  • Mechanical troubleshooting ability

  • Experience with welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and forklift operation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two‑year technical degree preferred

  • Industrial or manufacturing experience required

  • Mechanical repair or mechanic experience is a plus

Work Environment

  • Clean, well‑lit, organized shop environment

  • Team of approximately 25 employees across shop and office

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
