Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance needs at a large corporate and campus. This role focuses on routine maintenance, minor repairs, and helping keep the facility safe, clean, and operating smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing filters, replacing light bulbs, and cleaning equipment

  • Handle minor repairs including basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and mechanical work

  • Assist with preventive maintenance on HVAC, boilers, and other building systems

  • Identify and report facility issues such as leaks, temperature problems, or equipment concerns

  • Prepare work areas for maintenance projects and outside contractors

  • Monitor and restock maintenance supplies and materials

  • Keep work areas, mechanical rooms, and storage spaces clean and organized

  • Respond to maintenance requests and work professionally with building occupants

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintenance standards

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of facilities or building maintenance experience preferred

  • General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

  • Ability to perform basic repairs and troubleshooting

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Preferred (Not Required)

  • HVAC or building maintenance training or certifications

  • Boiler experience or license

  • Experience in commercial or large-campus facilities

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Monday–Friday, 1st shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • On-call rotation as needed

  • Large corporate and campus with office, lab, and mechanical spaces

  • PPE and standard maintenance tools required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
