Join our team as a Sr. Biopharmaceutical Processing Technician (Upstream), where you will play a crucial role in the performance of operations supporting the manufacture of Commercial and Clinical Biologics. In this night shift position, you will follow Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and engage in various upstream cell culture functions, including propagation of mammalian cell culture, execution of large-scale production bioreactors (ranging from 50L to 2000L), and conducting large-scale filtration or centrifugation.
Responsibilities
Execute manufacturing batch records, work instructions, and SOPs with a focus on proactive 'right the first time' executions.
Assist with batch record reconciliation.
Maintain suite, supplies, equipment, logbooks, and data in accordance with site SOPs and policies.
Document all activities to meet cGMP requirements and complete document reviews and revisions.
Participate in daily record review, tasks, and databases.
Engage in shift exchanges, meetings, and lean activities as needed.
Support quality investigations by providing answers and suggestions for improvement.
Promote safe work habits and adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.
Critically evaluate processes and prioritize tasks based on production schedules.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in manufacturing, operation, production, lab setting, or related field.
Knowledge of cGMP practices and aseptic techniques.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong math skills.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs independently.
Ability to stand for 80% of the shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a cGMP environment is preferred.
BS Degree in a STEM-related field is preferred.
Subject Matter Expert on upstream processing steps is preferred.
Ability to wear a full gowning suit including bodysuit, gloves, hair & beard nets, face covers, and safety glasses.
Ability to meet clean room gowning requirements, including wearing Tyvek, Nitrile, and/or Latex gloves.
Work Environment
You will work in a clean room and aseptic suites environment, where you must be willing to gown up. This role operates on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, working 7 days out of a 2-week period. The night shift hours are from 6:45pm to 6:45am, with a rotating schedule example of Week 1: Work Monday-Tuesday, Off Wednesday-Thursday, Work Friday-Sunday; and Week 2: Off Monday-Tuesday, Work Wednesday-Thursday, Off Friday-Sunday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.20 - $32.20/hr.
