Shift & Schedule:
1st Shift – 12-hour shifts
2-week rotating schedule:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Position Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality food products. This role ensures all products meet company standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements while supporting daily production goals in a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate production and packaging equipment following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Set up, monitor, and adjust machinery to maintain product quality and efficiency
Perform routine quality checks and accurately document results
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP guidelines, and all food safety and sanitation requirements
Complete production, downtime, safety, and sanitation documentation
Identify and report equipment issues, product defects, and safety concerns
Assist with equipment changeovers, basic troubleshooting, and routine cleaning
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
Collaborate with team members, maintenance, and quality teams to meet production goals
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic math, reading, and documentation skills
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Safety-focused with a high level of accountability
Reliable, punctual, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Prior food manufacturing experience preferred
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to food allergens
