CBRE Lead Building/BAS Engineer in Saint Louis, Missouri

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be involved in maintaining and repairing building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and HVAC while ensuring compliance with safety codes and energy efficiency standards.
This role will support preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and inspections, onsite at a large Healthcare Insurance Company in Saint Louis, MO. *To be successful in this role, a candidate should have solid BAS experience . knowledge of how when and why they should be adjusted. *Currently using Emcor system. (Hours 7-3:30 M-Fri possibly able to flex with this time. Very occasional on call is possible and overtime often available if desired.
What You’ll Do:
Perform maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems. Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Maintain an energy management program. (BAS) Ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner.
Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. Perform emergency repairs as needed.
Review inspection to building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
Apply advanced knowledge to tackle sophisticated problems, mentor others across fields, and lead by example in alignment with CBRE RISE values to foster collaboration and consensus.
What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of BAS related experience.
Universal EPA/CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
Solid BAS experience is highly desired and preferred
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and prior CMMS experience preferred
Organizational skills with a sophisticated inquisitive attitude.
Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly sophisticated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

What You’ll Need
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
4+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls.
Proficient using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Experience with MHE safety standardsin accordance withOriginal Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.
Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and/or industrial electronics.
Ability to conduct preventative& procedure-based maintenance.
Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs.
3+ years of work order management.
Ability to use and interpret statistical equipment to run metrics such as OEE/Up Time to prioritize accordingly.

Preferred Qualifications
Associate’sor higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
Previousleadership experience.
Previousvendor management experience.
Experience with robotic maintenance.
Experience with CMMS
Certification preferred in one or more of the following: electronic, electrical, mechanical, access control servers, PLCs, process controls, robotics, or mechanical power transmissions.

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Engineer position is $43.24 per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale.
