Role Purpose
Responsible for the daily supervision of the operations of the Guest Relations department. Manages all administrative, training and day-to-day operational activities of the department. Formulates and implements plans to accomplish program awareness and monitors progress towards these achievements. Also develops materials such as statistics, policies, procedures, orientation handbooks and brochures. Organizes the responsibilities of other employees into various functions and will be responsible for allocating these resources.
Responsibilities
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Participates in the development of the departmental staffing, revenue, and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to change in business which may affect the ability to achieve budget goals.
Assists Manager of Concierge Services by functioning as a liaison to team members and Washington University physicians and staff regarding hospital concierge services.
Provides direction to Concierge Services staff to ensure the patient/families/visitors are provided excellent customer care. This includes daily coordination and oversight for the high profile patient program.
Develops and conducts departmental orientation and training for new staff in their assigned roles.
Captures relevant data from the department which drives allocation of resources, as well as maintains department reports, statistics and lodging grid.
