Job Title: Sourcing Manager - Direct Materials

Job Description

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across critical direct materials categories, focusing on glass tape and specialty films. Drive measurable savings, manage supplier strategies, and collaborate closely with engineering and operations to support a global manufacturing business.

Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic sourcing initiatives for direct materials, with emphasis on glass tape and specialty films.

  • Drive cost savings and manage supplier relationships effectively.

  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to support global manufacturing objectives.

  • Conduct market analysis and develop sourcing strategies.

  • Prepare and execute negotiation plans.

  • Manage complex supplier relationships and align spend accountability with formal KPIs.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of strategic category management experience focused on direct materials.

  • Proven track record in cost savings and cost avoidance delivery.

  • Technical understanding of raw materials, specifically glass tape, polyester film, and specialty/technical tapes.

  • Advanced negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier relationships.

  • Cross-functional partnership with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and planning teams.

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • SAP experience.

  • CPSM, CSCP, or PMP certification.

  • Ability to communicate strategy clearly to leadership.

  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities.

  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Work Environment

Work in a global organization with strong commercial and engineering teams. The role is highly cross-functional and offers exposure to leadership, including the CFO and Controller. The environment is dynamic with ongoing changes in systems and supplier landscapes. The position is direct placement, Monday to Friday, onsite, with growth opportunities, team outings based on goals, and a comprehensive 3-month training program.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
