Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Saint Joseph, Missouri

Maintenance Electrician

Pay Rate - $30/hr. Job Description

This role focuses on providing electrical maintenance support within an industrial and manufacturing production environment. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on production equipment and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical repairs on industrial and manufacturing production equipment.

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues quickly and accurately to restore equipment operation.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components to minimize unplanned downtime.

  • Inspect production equipment regularly to identify potential electrical problems before they cause failures.

  • Work closely with a small maintenance team to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks.

  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in a clear and accurate manner.

  • Follow all safety procedures and best practices when working with electrical systems and production machinery.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring electrical issues and recommending long-term solutions.

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on experience performing electrical maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues on production equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical issues and apply effective repair methods.

  • Proficiency in performing electrical repairs safely and efficiently in a production setting.

  • Comfort working as part of a small maintenance team and communicating clearly with team members.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to minimizing equipment downtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Any education related to maintenance or the electrical industry is a plus.

  • Any certifications related to maintenance or the electrical industry are considered an advantage.

  • Willingness to work second or third shift as required by the operation.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and desire to maintain reliable production equipment.

Work Environment

This position operates in an industrial and manufacturing production facility as part of a small, collaborative maintenance team. Second shift runs from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and third shift runs from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. You will work around production equipment and machinery while performing electrical maintenance and troubleshooting during off-peak or non-daytime hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Joseph, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
