Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor leads and develops a team of maintenance technicians and electricians in a manufacturing facility, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. This role combines hands-on repair and troubleshooting with planning, training, scheduling, and preventative maintenance to minimize production downtime and support a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise maintenance technicians and electricians in a manufacturing environment.
Perform hands-on repairs and troubleshooting on production equipment as needed.
Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to reduce equipment downtime.
Plan and manage daily maintenance activities, including work assignments and shift scheduling.
Assist with training maintenance staff on equipment, processes, and best practices.
Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance team, promoting accountability and high performance.
Monitor equipment performance and proactively address issues to minimize interruptions to production.
Ensure the maintenance team consistently follows safety protocols and facility procedures.
Collaborate with production and other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and support operational goals.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, equipment history, and preventative maintenance activities.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in maintenance supervision or maintenance management within a manufacturing environment.
Strong hands-on skills in equipment repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and train maintenance technicians and electricians.
Experience creating and managing preventative maintenance schedules.
Solid understanding of maintenance safety practices and the ability to enforce safety protocols.
Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and direct reports.
Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple work orders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Any education related to the maintenance industry is a plus.
Relevant maintenance certifications are considered an advantage.
Lead maintenance roles or team supervision is beneficial.
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting is preferred.

Work Environment
This role is based in a non-union manufacturing facility with structured shift options. The available schedules include 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. The work involves close collaboration with maintenance technicians, electricians, and production staff in an active production environment where safety and equipment reliability are top priorities.

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Joseph, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
Company offers full medical, dental, & vision insurance. Opportunities for annual bonus & monthly bonus. Pay reviews in March.
