Brenny Transportation Inc.
Position Summary: The Logistics Carrier Service primary responsibility is to manage customer’s shipments via truck and exercise proper judgment with all details involved with the coordination of such.
Hours: Hours of Operation. Monday through Thursday, 7am-4pm & Friday 7am-3pm. Hours based on individual level. Some after-hours work, weekend work and/or travel may be required.
Position Duties and Expectations (may include but not limited to):
Accountable for providing GRAND CHAMPION Customer Service to everyone
Contact Carriers for equipment availability and match loads with available equipment. Negotiate pricing with carrier
Ensure information for invoicing and settling carriers is correct
Work closely with Business Service Department securing information on qualified Carriers
Verify all information on each load with Customer Service, Carrier, & Driver including pricing, current loads & load information
Work closely with team members, logistics team, Business Service Department as well as Brenny Specialized dispatch, communicating available freight, and helping to keep Brenny Specialized trucks loaded
Handling carriers in a professional manner, always
Work closely with Business Service & Team Leads
Work towards achieving and maintaining Company goals. Move an expected number of loads per week/month and dispatching an expected amount of freight each week/month
Go on carrier visits as directed
Having courage to deliver results
Ensure all new Carriers meet company carrier approval standards as directed
Attend company meetings & educational classes & seminars as directed
Training new team members as needed and updating the training book.
Manage shared Highway account and vet carriers to deem pass/fail based on Brenny Standards
Ensure Brenny Safety & Protection by watching for red flags on highway and questioning if any carrier information does not match
Other duties as directed by Logistics Manager, and Owners
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*College degree or 2-4 years work experience, sales training helpful
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
*Above average communication skills
*An understanding of the transportation/logistics industry, or desire to learn
*Self motivated & innovative – able to work with little supervision
*Able to multitask and prioritize task at hand
*Excellent phone skills, & data entry – computer skills
*Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a smile on your face!

Minimum Education Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Experience Required
College degree or 2-4 years work experience, sales training helpful
