BAE Systems SCA Electronic Technician II (Shipboard Radio Communication Systems) in Saint Inigoes, Maryland

Job Description

The selected applicant will apply basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve problems by interpreting manufacturers manuals or similar documents. The position requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. The work will focus on the engineering principles and techniques to develop and resolve moderately complex technical issues associated with US Navy communications systems and networks including software defined transceivers and amplification devices.This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.Applicants must be currently residing in, or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

High School Diploma and at least 2 years of experience in Electronics or completion of vocational technical training in electronics

Ability to read, understand, interpret, and modify system drawings, wire list, manufacturing procedure, or any other required technical documents

Ability to perform and validate precise measurements using multimeter and other electronic devices

Basic computer knowledge

Ability to use basic hand tools

Knowledge of military communication systems

Pay Information

This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
